Ashtanga / Hatha Vinyasa Yoga
When I'm trying to balance and I notice myself shaking (calibrating), I expand.
Rather than shrinking to safety, I root even deeper, reach even higher, and expand even slower.
If I fall, who cares? I want to push through each shaky moment into strength.
- I'm less about holding perfectly still, and more about moving unbearably slow.
The teacher who inspires my style most is Meghan Currie. She's elegant, precise with her words, quietly funny, and contagiously silly. Videos: Yoga in Meghan's own words, a sample of her online class.
For self-practice, you'll also like the 100s of quality, free, and specific classes on the Digital Yoga Network.
I am currently not teaching public classes -- please leave your email if you'd like a heads up for one! Thank you for practicing together at The Yoga Co & Yoga+.
If you are interested in a virtual private or custom video focused on your needs, class style preferences, or movement interests, feel free to reach out! [Typically $180 per content hour, with bundles for videos series and recurring classes.]
I've enjoyed training with the Tirisula Yoga team for Ashtanga 200 Hour
and the Yoga Mandala team for Hatha Vinyasa 200 Hour.“Mindfulness helps you go home to the present. And every time you go there and recognise a condition of happiness that you have, happiness comes.” (Thich Nhat Hanh)
I've heard this message a thousand times, yet I sometimes still underestimate the power of being grateful for each breath and every idea.
